Assisted Living Assistant

The Gables of Ojai is a thriving RCFE (independent living, assisted living and memory care) community seeking a Full Time Assisted Living Assistant who is able to work a Monday - Friday schedule. We have been serving seniors for 66 years and are proud to be voted the "Best of Ojai" for 8 years in a row, a sign of our strong leadership and experience in the senior living industry! We are looking for an energetic, dependable person who enjoys helping our residents engage in life both inside and outside our community. Experience working with seniors is preferred. Experience working as a Med Aide and Caregiver in an RCFE for at least 2 years is REQUIRED! If you are you passionate about helping others, join our team of compassionate professionals!

Responsibilities of the Assisted Living Assistant:

  • Maintain and update staffing schedules
  • Maintain Daily Caregiver assignments, changes, updates, schedules and lists
  • Be available on-call
  • Follow up with record keeping and filing
  • Oversee resident supplies including bill backs, inventory and ordering
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies needed for staff
  • Assist with the training and supervision of all Assisted Living staff
  • Actively monitor resident safety
  • Other duties as required by business needs

Assisted Living Assistant Requirements:

  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass a nationwide criminal background check.
  • Must be screened for TB.
