POSITION SUMMARY: Assists with management of the day-to-day operations of the building. Assists in 
the compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.   Assists in the 
oversight of property management, personnel administration and provision of Resident services. May 
act as the ED for a specified period, with potential for career growth to ED status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•     Assists with implementation of policies and procedures.
•     Assists with assessing Residents on a timely basis.
•     Assists Residents to participate in self-governance activity through Resident 
Council and committee meetings.
•     Acts as an advocate for Residents; assists in maintaining communication with 
designated agents as requested and required.
•     Assists in assuring quality of Resident services.
•     Directly supervises the associates of the Assigned departments and is responsible 
for budget forecasting and oversight related to these departments.
•     Assists with supervision, orientation and training of all other associates.
•     Assists in administration of wages/benefits for staff, assurance of accuracy of 
personnel records and in the approval process for payment for work performed.
•     Assists with implementation of all employment policies and procedures.
•     Assists in ensuring staff adhere to all policies and procedures, all work, safety 
and administrative rules.
•     Assists with processing move-in/move-out of new Residents.
•     May assist with marketing events.
•     Assists in assuring building, Residents units, common areas and adjacent grounds are 
maintained by working with Executive Director.
•     Assists in assuring safety and security of buildings, contents, and inhabitants 
(Residents, staff, visitors).
•     Assists in assuring all financial and administrative records are properly maintained 
(e.g.AP, AR, billing, petty cash, etc.)
•     Assists in administering, coordinating and directing all activities in accordance 
with policies and procedures.
•     Assist in compliance of all laws, rules and regulations.
•     Assists in assuring quality of all goods and services provided.
•     Assists in maintaining and providing all data as requested and required.
•     Participates in professional and community organizations as appropriate.
•     Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•     A passion for helping seniors
•     Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
•     Licenses: Assisted Living Certification or Administrator’s License, if required by 
State (may or may not require)
•     Must be in possession of, or can obtain, a valid state driver’s license.
•     Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (in English), both verbally and in 
writing, with residents and staff
•     Must be able to cope with high levels of stress that position may cause.
•     Ability to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under 
all circumstances.
•     Advanced computer and Microsoft Office experience with ability to create reports and 
analyze operational issues
•     Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and to convey strong public-relations 
skills.
•     Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers, 
residents, and staff
•     Have effective organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
•     Possess excellent customer service skills.
•     Ability to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines
•     Must be available after regular working hours and work weekends and holidays as 
necessary

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

Works primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting.
Associates may be exposed to blood and/or body fluids with potential exposure to hazardous 
materials and infectious diseases.
Possible exposure to unpleasant odors.
Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MDS Manual.
Continuous exposure to residents who are ill, confused, irritable and irrational.

While  performing  the  duties  of  this  Job,  the  employee  is  regularly  required  to  stand  
and  walk.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with 
hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or 
crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 190 
pounds with assistance of a second  employee  and/or  mechanical  devices.   Must  be  able  to  
push  up  to  350  lb.  (wheelchair).  The employee may occasionally be required to lift greater 
than 190 pounds with the assistance of additionalstaff and/or a mechanical lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close 
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
