Community Health Worker Dallas County

The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas offers comprehensive benefit plans to eligible employees including medical, dental, vision, and employer paid basic life, short-term, and long-term disability, and much more!

All offers of employment with VNA Texas are conditioned on completing and passing a background and drug screen, participating in other health testing requirements (e.g., COVID-19, TB) and mandatory vaccine programs (e.g., Covid-19).

As part of our commitment to health and safety, we have a mandatory vaccine requirement for current and newly hired employees.  As part of our new policy, new hires will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide verification of vaccination at least 7 days prior to their start date.  Fully vaccinated refers to at least two (2) weeks after the final dose on a two-dose vaccination series (Pfizer or Moderna) or at least two weeks after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Johnson and Johnson).

Community Health Workers will primarily be working out in the community with specific target populations. CHW's will

work closely with medical providers, primary care teams, and other agencies to improve patient care and outcomes.
