Sales Associate (As Needed)
SUMMARY OF POSITION The Seton Shrine Gift Shop helps visitors maintain a connection with the Shrine by providing Shrine-related products for purchase. The Sales Associate assists the Shop Coordinator as requested and is responsible for shop operations in the absence of the Shop Coordinator. He or she helps these visitors find and purchase products. The Sales Associate is a key point of contact for many Shrine visitors and represents the Shrine in his or her words, actions, and attitude. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Ensure that each customer receives outstanding, competent service. • Provide a friendly environment by acknowledging and greeting every customer. • Maintain knowledge of products and Shrine operations and answer customers’ questions. • Be courteous and see to all other aspects of customer service. • Interface with customers by phone, email, and web store. • Respond to inquiries and ensure orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately. Assist with various shop operations and function as part of the Shrine team. • Operate point of sale system. • Open and close shop according to established procedures. • Manage shop operations and assign tasks to other shop staff in the absence of Shop Coordinator. • Assist in processing and stocking new inventory. Monitor floor stock and replenish as necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned.
