Functions as a member of the health care team in providing delegated basic nursing care and special skills to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, depending on unit assigned, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN Team Leader. Performs simple nursing procedures to promote patient comfort, safety and hygiene. Has received theoretical and clinical training in specific skills designed to assist the licensed nurse. Promotes customer service and harmonious relations through direct patient and family interaction and communication. Demonstrates a commitment to quality through individual efforts and participation in unit activities designed to continuously improve the delivery of patient care.
